Biscuits
A very basic biscuit recipe that works well with whole wheat flour.

Biscuits

2 cups flour                                                  1/4 cup shortening
3 tsp. baking powder                                    3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Round up on floured surface. Knead lightly about 6 times. Roll dough out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake 10-12 minutes at 450*.
