He Has a Plan

The future's so uncertain;
The way is unclear.
I know God has a purpose,
I know I don't need to fear.

But the doubts begin pressing -
Questions fill my head.
"What will I do...
In these years looming ahead?"

I want to know now,
Begging God for an answer.
"Will I go here? Or do this?
Which one is for sure?"

"Trust me, My daughter,"
My kind Father reminds me.
"I have a plan and a future
Marked out just for thee."

"I have such struggles, Papa,
Can you show me them now?"
"Trust Me, My Child,"
He soothes, as He vows,

"I will show you the path,
One step at a time.
Don't be in a hurry,
But rest. Wait for My time."

"I trust You, dear Lord.
I know You know best.
Give me the strength to wait and go each step
Until you show me the rest."

I may not know now
What I'll do every day.
But I do know for certain,
That God will show me the way.
